Service Terms & Conditions

(For Guests Using Sai Gon River Star Services)

These Service Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Sai Gon River Star Investment and Development Co., Ltd. (“Sai Gon River Star”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By booking or participating in our services, clients and guests agree to the following terms.

1. Guest Information Requirements

To ensure compliance with regulations and a smooth travel experience:

  • Clients must provide complete and accurate guest information at least 24 hours prior to departure.
  • All guests must carry valid passports or citizen identification cards throughout the journey.

Sai Gon River Star reserves the right to refuse service in the following cases:

  • A foreign guest does not possess a valid passport or holds an expired passport;
  • A Vietnamese guest does not possess a valid passport or citizen identification card;
  • Required guest information is incomplete, inaccurate, or submitted late.

If authorities impose fines or penalties due to failure to provide required guest information on time, the client shall bear full responsibility for such fines.
Sai Gon River Star reserves the right to cancel booked services due to these errors, and full service charges will still apply.

2. Arrival & Check-In Time

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring all guests arrive at the designated check-in location on time.
  • The vessel operates on a fixed schedule and will not delay departure for late arrivals.

Late arrivals or missed departures are treated as no-shows and are subject to applicable charges.

3. Service Delivery

Sai Gon River Star will provide services exactly as confirmed in the official booking confirmation.
Any unconfirmed changes or adjustments may result in additional charges or cancellation.

4. Insurance Coverage

All cruises are covered by Public and Product Liability Insurance arranged through certified insurers, in accordance with international standards.

A summary of insurance coverage is available upon request.

5. Rate Adjustments

Service rates may be adjusted in the event of:

  • Fuel price fluctuations;
  • Changes to taxes, service charges, or government regulations in Vietnam.

6. Confidentiality

All contracted rates, commercial terms, and related information are strictly confidential and may not be disclosed, published, or shared without prior written consent.

Sai Gon River Star reserves the right to terminate services immediately in the event of a confidentiality breach.

7. Force Majeure

7.1 Definition

In the event of an Act of God or other unforeseeable events beyond reasonable control, the affected party shall be released from its obligations without compensation.

7.2 Force Majeure Events Include

Events such as war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorism, earthquakes, volcanoes, storms, floods, fires, explosions, epidemics, strikes, industrial disturbances, blockades, port congestion, energy or economic crises, shortages of raw materials, or changes in government policies or laws.

7.3 Notification & Obligation Suspension

The affected party must notify the other party in writing within five (05) working days from the commencement of the event.
Obligations may be suspended for up to fifteen (15) days from the date of the force majeure event.

7.4 Extended Force Majeure

If the force majeure event lasts more than thirty (30) days, both parties will meet to negotiate and attempt to reach a reasonable solution appropriate to the circumstances.

7.5 Limitation of Liability

Sai Gon River Star shall not be responsible for failure to provide cruise services, accommodation, transportation, meals, or other agreed services due to force majeure events, but will make reasonable efforts to support clients where possible.

7.6 Bad Weather Conditions

In the event that cruise operations are affected by bad weather, Sai Gon River Star reserves the right to cancel or adjust part or all of the cruise schedule.
Any applicable surcharges will be applied in accordance with company policy.

8. Inclusions & Exclusions

Included

  • Complimentary mineral water and coffee during the trip (canoe / speed boat)
  • Light breakfast (Vietnamese bread)
  • Pick-up and drop-off transfers within allowed areas
  • Fresh fruits and snacks
  • Beverages (soft drinks or similar)
  • Lunch at a local restaurant with iced tea (refill)
  • All sightseeing tickets
  • English-speaking guide
  • Service charges and government tax

Excluded

  • Beverages during lunch at local restaurants
  • Visa arrangements
  • Personal expenses
  • Any services not expressly listed above

9. Transportation

  • Pick-up time from Ho Chi Minh City: 07:10 – 07:45
  • Expected return time: 15:30 – 16:00
  • Pick-up and drop-off services are available at hotels located in Districts 1, 2, and 3 for participating guests.

10. Tour Guide Policy

  • Licensed tour guides must present confirmation details to ensure proper arrangements.
  • English-speaking guide:
    • VND 900,000 / guide (meals as guide menu)
    • VND 1,300,000 / guide (meals as guest menu)
  • Other language-speaking guide:
    • VND 500,000 / guide (meals as guest menu)
    • Free of charge if meals follow guide menu

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

If disputes cannot be resolved amicably, either party may submit the dispute to the competent courts of Vietnam, in accordance with Vietnamese law and the Enterprise Law in effect at the time of booking.

12. Termination & Amendments

  • Services may be terminated by mutual written agreement or with 60 days’ prior notice.
  • Sai Gon River Star may unilaterally terminate services if a client breaches obligations and fails to remedy within seven (07) working days of notice.
  • Termination does not release either party from obligations arising prior to termination.
  • Any amendments or supplements must be agreed in writing by both parties.
  • Contract appendices (if applicable) form an integral part of the agreement and carry equal legal effect.
